So, I mentioned earlier that we're attending a wedding in December and that I'll be 37weeks that day. I have been on the hunt for an easy-to-wear, affordable dress that would fit my belly and still look pretty. I just ordered a maternity dress from Asos (they just launched their U.S. site btw) and I think it's a winner. It has ties on both sides, so I'll be able to adjust it and since I've been saving it in my basket... the price went up $10 then dropped $40. I got it for $30 + FREE shipping!! Score!

Question: Flats or high heels with a maxi dress???
We're heading out for my friend's birthday tonight. I'll be wearing this...
asos maternity | ruched wrap bust dress
I'll post photos of the party next week. Oh and incase you're wondering... I'm 28weeks today which means I just started my 3rd trimester. Yay!!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

I can't believe I have an opinion on this. LOL! Do you need the height for the dress? Weigh that versus your comfort...with comfort counting double.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! =)
I would do flats with the maxi -- just because I'm SURE they'll be comfier for you and can still look so chic. You look gorgeous, dear!

Both those dresses are gorgeous! I'd go for flats with the maxi, especially because you will be very heavily pregnant by then and it's safer to walk in flats, for you, your baby and your back!

I agree, Amy...love ASOS and what a cute dress!
ReplyDeleteLiesl :)
P.S. I usually go with flats when wearing a maxi dress.

Holy moly - hot mamma! That dress is gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteAs for the maxi dress, I'd go with flats. No one is really going to see your feet anyway, so you may as well be comfortable!
Happy 28weeks!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress!!
I would do flats unless the maxi dress is too long then I would go for a low kitten heel or a cute wedge.
I always found maxi dresses more difficult to maneuver in stilettos.
Who knew asos had such chic maternity wear - I'm always on the lookout for cute maternity stuff for my sister so thanks for the advice!
ReplyDeleteyou dont even look pregnant! wow, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic! I would also do flats with the maxi dress. I have a very similar maxi dress from Zara with side ties too. Great for maternity!
ReplyDeleteyay!!! congrats on your third trimester sweetie! you are almost there!! it's soo fun that we were able to follow along with you on your pregnancy journey! the black dress looks great on u!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I gave you a Versatile Blogger award on my site for such a lovely blog! :)
ReplyDeleteyou look absolutely amazing ! your body during your pregnancy is just amazing. i wish i looked half as good as you did while i was pregnant. unfortunately, i was nowhere close to how great and glowy you look! i can't wait to see pictures of the new stroller! i suggest flats for your dress. if it's going to be a long day on your feet flats are a woman's best friend during pregnancy :)
ReplyDeleteYou're looking fab lady! I'd say go for some heels!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you looks great, I think you should wear high heels with it! Have fun! x
ReplyDeleteaw, you look beautiful! i am so excited for you, and i think you would look just pretty in anything, even at 37 weeks! love.
ReplyDeleteAmy, you look absolutely amazing in that dress. Sexy mama!!

You look so fabulous in the ruched dress! Love it!
ReplyDeleteFor the Maxi dress, how about a compromise with a small wedge? A little bit of height and a whole lot of comfort!
Chic on the Cheap
My wife and I were in the grocery store this afternoon and I saw something that reminded me of you--red-hot flavored cotton candy. It had so MUCH red dye in it! What a waste. It doesn't add flavor. Oh well, hope you and the mister are doing well. =)
ReplyDeleteAmazing! You look so stunning. I'm pretty sure you might actually be glowing. I'd definitely go with flats with the maxi dress :)

ReplyDeletesexxxaay!!!!! i love the asos dress!!!!!! id wear it even i wasnt preggers!! LOVES

I vote for flats, strictly for comfort reasons and because you won't be able to see much of the shoes anyway :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen any new posts lately. Hope all is well. :)
