Alphabet Soup - Letter of the Day is O

O is for oasis.  O is for ocean.  O is for oil spill.  I am deeply saddened by the lack of regulations regarding the EPA and the oil spill that grows by the second.  Did you hear they are talking about months before it's stopped?  I love the ocean.  Sad.  Just sad.

Well, the color orange is hard for me to wear, but I think it's a very cheery color.  So here are some lovelies to cheer us up.

Orange

  4. yea, it is really saddening how crazy this oil spill is getting and how it is affecting our ecosystem. my friend was supposed to go on a cruise in october that ports in new orleans but they have already cancelled it b/c of the oil spill. =(

i definitely don't have enough orange in my life, b/c like you, it is hard for me to wear. i do think it is a fun color though! great picks!

  7. I know I shouldn't be so suspicious, but I keep wondering if BP would feel more urgency if the spill was occuring in the North Sea. It is an international company, but the Gulf of Mexico is not "home". I'm probably off-base on that.

  10. Ohhh, the oil spill is so sad. It's just so distressing. I honestly don't even know what else to say about it. On a happier note, I LOVE orange! I truly think that anyone can wear it; it's all about finding the perfect shade :)

  28. That's a great (and conforting) story about your grandma. Thank you for sharing that.

PS - I read that the head of BP would like to "get his life back". Doesn't sound like the spill's ecological impact is his top concern.

  40. I have one orange item of 'clothing' - a pair of bright orange Tigers. They are my favourite pair of shoes. I love how I can wear them with a pair of jeans and a shirt and they stand out and automatically make my outfit fun!
