Flutter Magazine Feature

Hey guys!  So excited to be featured in the "Designer Spotlight" article in Flutter Magazine this issue.  My sister Myra Callan of Twigs & Honey and Myra Callan Bridal is sitting pretty right above me, throughout the magazine and on the cover.  So honored that the lovely gals from Flutter wanted to include me in along side my sis.  I'm so proud of her and all her accomplishments.  And oh my goodness are all the photos so amazing!  All shot by the talented Elizabeth Messina.  These two profile photos are from Myra's book, Adornments.  Also, entirely shot by Elizabeth.  Its hard to wrap your head around all the loveliness! ♥

Flutter Magazine is so beautifully curated.  Even though I am already married, I just love flipping through the pages.  I wish I had this when I was planning my wedding!  They are based in the gorgeous city of Santa Barbara, CA.  Brides-to-be... be sure to pick up a copy.  They have so many great references and images you'll be sure to find the perfect everything for your wedding!

My Sister and Alphabet Soup Letter of the Day is R

Some of you may have already heard, met or worked with my sister Myra Callan of Twigs & Honey, but what you may not know is that she has just launched her perfume line.  It's made with all natural ingredients, so it's organic.  NO CHEMICALS!  Have you ever wondered why your allergies act up when you or someone near you is wearing perfume or why you get a migraine?  It's probably because of all the chemicals they use (yes even the very spendy stuff uses chemicals).  My sister's new line called Twigscent is comprised of essential oils.  Her first fragrance is named Rumpledcake (perfect segway into today's alphabet post).  Smells delicious and the packaging is insanely cute.  Our mom and I have been helping her get them all into their pretty bottles and pretty boxes.

P.S.  We're buying our SLR camera this Friday!  So excited.  It'll be our first.  I'll blog about it then.  We'll be at a wedding and a birthday party on Saturday and my hubby will be dirt bike riding on Sunday, so I will have tons of stuff to take pictures of.  Fun!

P.P.S.  Asos is having another sale going on right now.  15% off dresses.  Check it out!

Sneak Peek Photos from Twigs & Honey Lookbook

Here are a few sneak peek photos from the lookbook photo shoot.  Aren't the models amazing?  And aren't my sister's Twigs & Honey pieces lovely?  I loved being a part of this.  The lookbook is half done.  Next week will be the 2nd half of the photo shoot in studio.  So excited to see that process as well.

Behind the Scenes - Twigs & Honey Lookbook Photo Shoot

Yesterday I had the opportunity to assist my sister, Myra of Twigs & Honey with her first lookbook photo shoot.  It was a gorgeous day, beautiful location, fantastic photographer, wonderful stylist, amazing hair & makeup artist, and the best models.  All-in-all, a great shoot.  It was really fun helping my sister pick out pieces for the models to wear.  I was basically running around (actually more like walking around) helping where ever I could.  I loved it so much, I'm thinking about assisting her with all future photo shoots.

I can't show you any of the real shots today, but I can share a few behind the scenes photos of the cutest model of the day.  By the way, these photos were taken with my new Blackberry Bold 9700. Not bad huh?

A few test shots and adjustments.  Such a beautiful garden.

Olivia Bee is so sweet and so professional.  We're really hoping to work with her again in the future.

If you haven't heard of her yet, you will soon.  She is an amazingly talented photographer as well as a model.  Check out her website HERE.

P.S. Sorry, I had to add the word verification thing because I kept getting spam.  I really don't like it, but I dislike spam even more.

P.P.S. Check out Josie's blog post about my rope bracelet.  So sweet!!!  View HERE.

Alphabet Soup - Letter of the Day is H

I feel like I haven't done an alphabet soup post in a while.  I cheated with the G for Giveaway.  But you guys don't mind right?    Since I was doing headbands, of course I posted my sister Myra's Twigs & Honey pieces.  1. Because she's my little sister and I support her 100%.  2. Because her stuff is just so lovely.  She is actually in the process of making a headband for me.  Yay!

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my hubby and I are in the process of looking for a new home.  Very exciting.  There is this one that I just love.  Quiet neighborhood, 3-car garage, 4 bedrooms, and it's only 1 year old.  Not bad right?  I'll keep you guys posted on how that all pans out.

A Bag and a Tag...

Jen from Craftiness NOW tagged me.  (btw... super sweet girl and cool blog!)  So here's the innards of my bag.

1. Handbag | Coach
Got this on my trip to Austin, TX.  LOVE that city!!!!
2. Kleenex
These are plain white ones I put in a cute case.
3. Butterfly notepad | Pier 1 Imports
I'm always writing notes to myself, otherwise I can't remember a thing!
4. Blotting sheets | Clean & Clear
These are absolutely by far the best blotting sheets.  Doesn't remove your makeup and it's really good at getting all that oil!
5. Tic Tacs
Stays on for a long time, doesn't run down your face and it has the teeniest flecks of gold shimmer to add a little something.  This is ALWAYS in my bag.
7. Sliding mirror | MAC
8. Pocket knife
9. Zyrtec
I use every tub of this to the last drop.  No matter what, I always have this one my lips.  I get dry lips and this makes them so soft.  I even wear it to bed!  Plus, it has a really pretty soft pink tint.
11. Wristlet | Coach
This was gifted to me as a bridemaid's gift when I was in my friend Nikki's wedding.  So sweet!  I love it.  Small enough to carry alone, but big enough to hold my essentials.
12. Hand lotion | Eucerin
I'm a medical assistant by day, so I wash my hands constantly.  This hand lotion is the best ever.  Period.
13. Pen | Pilot G2-07
I have a pen in every purse.  And these are the best gel pens.
14. Cell | Blackberry Pearl in red
Also, another gift from Nikki.  (told you she was sweet)  I don't know how I ever functioned without Blackberry!  I'm planning on upgrading to the Bold pretty soon.  Can't wait!

Now, I tag Jozen (Lola's Girl), Sharon (elisharon), Myra (Twigs & Honey), and Rachel (The Shop Bug).  Come on ladies... show us what's in your bag.  :)
